According to Burkhardt (2009), tactical design “is focused on the overall internal structure of the product” (p. 2). He explains that tactical design is concerned with the overall coherence and underpinning principles of the tools, and for us, this seems to be related to the construction of the toolkit.
The decisions we made about the construction of the toolkit were related to:
Structure: how the different elements of the toolkit are arranged
Navigation: how navigation is organised
Appearance: the toolkit’s visual appearance.
